Can’t find the information you need in our published data? You may be able to access existing, secondary JCPS information and data through an Open Records Request. Contact the Open Records Office at (502) 485-3583.
All requests to collect new data and information (e.g., surveys) from JCPS schools, students, or staff must be approved by the JCPS IRB, including from partners and JCPS staff pursuing degrees.
Notice: JCPS administrators and staff will not provide you with student data or other personally identifiable information directly as this violates privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In addition, they cannot legally agree to conduct research or sign contracts without review and approval by the JCPS General Counsel and the JCPS IRB to comply with other federal and Kentucky laws and Jefferson County Board of Education (JCBE) policies.
The Office of Systems Improvement and Planning supports school and district improvement planning throughout the year and during planning cycles. Our role is to liaise between JCPS and the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Division of School and Program Improvement, support planning and improvement through research, assist with strategic planning, and conduct processes that provide rich feedback that is leveraged in schools to attain the school’s vision for every student.
The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) is a multi-phase plan.
