JCBE Authorizes Superintendent’s Use of Remote Instruction Days

Board also keeps district’s current COVID-19 guidance in place

January 18, 2022 – The Jefferson County Board of Education tonight voted to give Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio the authority to temporarily assign students to remote instruction, which is different than Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days. The 10 remote learning days for all Kentucky school districts were recently approved by the Kentucky legislature. They can’t be used to move an entire school district to virtual learning (like NTI) but can be used to move entire schools or grade levels to virtual learning.

The board also decided to keep the district’s current COVID-19 guidelines in place.
