Apprenticeships help train, retain local talent

January 16, 2020 — Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) officials joined city and business partners today to celebrate the expansion of registered apprenticeships throughout Kentucky, with JCPS leading the way.  One year after the district announced the launch of its new apprenticeship program, JCPS continues to be the largest provider of registered apprenticeship programs in the state across its various district departments.

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is calling on Louisville community members to be a part of the transformative learning happening across the district by participating on an upcoming JCPS Backpack of Success Skills Defense panel!

He has been previously been the principal at Carter, Wellington elementary schools

She has been an assistant principal at Luhr for the past eight years 

Annual survey helps provide valuable feedback for district

This is the fifth year for students to receive a new pair of shoes before winter break

WHO:

Dixie Elementary School parents, teachers and staff along with Rack Room Shoes employees

WHAT:

Will provide new shoes and socks to approximately 75 students.

Annual clothing giveaway set for Saturday at Clothing Assistance Program

December 12, 2019 —Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) and the 15th District Parent Teacher Association (PTA) invite Louisville community members to “Take What You Can Tote” at an upcoming clothing giveaway this week.

The change will go into effect in the 2021-2022 school year.
