I'm truly excited to join Minors Lane Elementary as the new Assistant Principal. My journey in education has been deeply rewarding, taking me through the University of Louisville where I pursued both my Bachelor's in Middle/Secondary Education and a Master's in Teacher Leadership with an ESL concentration. Along the way, I've had the privilege of serving in various capacities - as an Assistant Principal, ESL Resource Teacher, and Math Teacher, each role offering its own unique insights and challenges.

Beyond the classroom, my heart lies in community service and leadership. These endeavors are not just extracurricular activities for me; they are essential components of who I am. They keep me grounded, remind me of the broader purpose behind our work in education, and fuel my passion for making a difference in the lives of our students and their families.

What drives me as an educator is the belief that every student deserves a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. I am here to strengthen our community, support our teachers in their incredible work, and ensure that every family feels connected and valued. Working closely with our ESL teachers and all staff, my goal is to scaffold and support our multilingual learners both socially and academically.

My journey to this point has been shaped by every student I've taught, every colleague I've collaborated with, and every family I've met. These experiences have taught me the power of listening, the importance of empathy, and the impact of working collaboratively towards common goals. As I step into this new role, I'm ready to dive headfirst into the work of being great, for our students, our teachers, and our entire school community. Let's embark on this journey together, building a future where every child at Minors Lane Elementary feels empowered to achieve their dreams.
