District Operations Center

Please note: You should report emergencies by calling 911.

The JCPS District Operations Center, also known as the DOC, answers emergency and non-emergency calls for service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and dispatches appropriate help. The professional staff is dedicated to providing quality service not only to our district students and staff but also to all the citizens and partner agencies we serve.

The DOC provides dispatching, centralized communications, and central station monitoring of alarms for our full-time Security and Investigations Division. The DOC also dispatches emergency response of maintenance personnel, electricians, plumbers, and other district employees to keep our schools open and safe. The DOC monitors security and safety alarms for more than 170 facilities serving more than 100,000 students and 18,000 employees.

The DOC employs a highly trained staff using the latest in technology in order to maintain our high commitment to student and staff safety. Each full-time DOC employee is certified by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training as a law enforcement telecommunications dispatcher.

The DOC is a satellite agency of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department in providing LINK/NCIC queries, and we have the technology to monitor real-time law enforcement and emergency services deployment anywhere in Jefferson County, Kentucky. This is achieved by partnering with the Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency–911 call center.
