Student Rights & Responsibilities

The Student Support and Behavior Intervention Handbook describes conduct expectations for JCPS students, explains the roles and responsibilities of parents and school staff members, and details the consequences for student misbehavior, including suspension and expulsion procedures.

The Student Bill of Rights explains the rights that students have under district policies and state and federal laws, including the right to due process and to appeal school actions. This document also explains discrimination grievance procedures.
