Showing Cougar Pride means a lot to the students and staff at Byck. We expect students to be showing Cougar Pride at school, on the bus, at home and in the community. Students have the opportunity to earn Cougar of the Month Awards for demonstrating characteristics of Cougar Pride.

A Letter From the Principal
Dear Families,
As the principal of Dann C. Byck Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to a new school year. Our teachers have been working hard this summer to ensure they are at their best for your child!
This year, we will continue our work to ensure we establish a school where every child feels safe, cared for, and are able to learn. In order to achieve this, it will take the work of all of us working together to ensure our students have the best opportunity to overcome obstacles and meet with success.
This year at Byck, we will be challenging our families, our students, and ourselves to meet new expectations. We will be focusing on raising our academic knowledge while also enhancing our social and emotional needs. Our students will begin every morning with a class meeting where they will focus on developing cooperative skills.
I am committed to serving and working with the students and families to help each child succeed not only in school, but in life as well. I will be available to assist in any way that I can. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.
