Welcome to Cane Run Elementary, and welcome to our website!  My name is Christie Horn, and I am honored to serve as principal.  I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential.  To be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and the school.  As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities and serve to support our students.  

We all want our children to become successful, educated, and kind people.  Academic, social, and emotional success are important principles we focus on each day through our P.A.W.S. expectations.  We teach our students to be prepared learners, use appropriate actions, work hard, and show kindness.  We are committed to working with our families, students, and community members to create an environment that promotes character, academic excellence, trust, and respect.  Cane Run has a rich history that dates back to 1832.  Today, we are working to build an educational foundation that prepares our students to be proficient, 21st Century learners equipped to transition successfully to middle school and be college and career ready when they graduate from high school.  Cane Run Cougars Roar!
