My name is Letisha Young. I am honored to be the principal of Foster Academy. My love for Foster Academy runs deep as it has been my home for the entirety of my educational career. In August 1997, I was hired as Foster’s self-contained EBD Special Education teacher, moving on to teach Second and Third grade, and then to serve as Foster’s Assistant Principal for 5 years. 

As your principal, I pledge to provide support to students, teachers, staff, and our families so that Foster is a school of academic excellence. Our students will continue to be educated in positive and successful classrooms, where learning and growth take place every day. I have a heart and passion to see Foster’s students succeed. I am looking forward to helping Foster continue to be a school in which each student is provided a high quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. Foster’s vision is to prepare each student for next grade level readiness academically, socially, and emotionally. With the participation of the students, the parents, and all staff at Foster we will ensure our students are equipped with the tools necessary to lead a successful life.
