It is both a pleasure and privilege to help lead the work of guiding future STEMinists to limitless possibilities. I look forward to  empowering, activating and illuminating both G.E.M.S. and GEM - Keepers each and every day, and to assist them in proudly wear their CROWNS! Rita Pierson says it best  ―  “Every child deserves a champion  an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” 

I am truly excited and honored to be an assistant principal at Grace M. James Academy of Excellence and continue the legacy of achieving academic success It is highly important to establish a solid foundation and support the new G.E.M.S. as they get acclimated to learning in innovative ways that are tailored to their unique and diverse needs while exhibiting their values of C.R.O.W.N. My goal is for every student to feel confident, empowered, and supported throughout their entire educational journey and be fully prepared for the endless possibilities that await them. Queen Latifah's words best describe the overall experience at GMJ; "Be bold, be brave enough to be your true self.”

I am honored to serve as an assistant principal at Grace M. James Academy of Excellence. With over 15 years of serving students in JCPS, I bring my passion of SEL, building strong student-family relationships, community partnerships, and equity to the G.E.M.S at GMJ. I pledge to be a vital component of the innovative learning community. In the words of Serena Williams: “The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up.” 

It is an absolute honor to work alongside everyone at Grace James as we create a space where GEMS can thrive and flourish educationally and personally. I am committed to making sure that each GEMS voice is heard and that they are celebrated during their time at Grace James. "Anything you do, let it come from you.
