Welcome to Mattie B. Luhr Elementary School, where ‘every student counts and every moment matters’.  We are a K-5 school located in the Highview area of Jefferson County, Kentucky. We are proud of our diverse school community.  We offer both Exceptional Child Education services as well as English as a Second Language services.  We also have a Family Resource Center to support our families with school and community resources, along with many extra-curricular activities.  We support our students with both full time Guidance and Mental Health Counselors, as well as a partnership with 7 Counties.

Our school community is close and supportive of each other.  Our experienced teaching staff is innovative in bringing curriculum to life for our students.  We are dedicated to ensuring our students have experience with up-to-date technology, a  STEAM Lab with a 3D printer, and variety of robotics.
