New Resource Now Available—Operation: PARENT Web Site
Operation: PARENT is a great parenting resource now available to JCPS parents. Operation: PARENT, based in Kentucky, is a non-profit, parent-driven organization that provides classes, speaker events, a wonderful Parent Handbook, drug testing kits, and more for parents of elementary-, middle-, and high-school students. Operation: PARENT addresses all the tough issues that affect our JCPS families every day—issues like alcohol, drugs, social media, bullying, suicide, and violence. Parents have immediate access to everything on the Web site, including classes, events, an educational monthly e-newsletter, and more.
The site's resources were designed by parents, for parents, to help raise awareness quickly, improve communication skills, establish some age-appropriate boundaries, and network with other parents in the process.
