Cochran Elementary

At Cochran Elementary School, we work hard on Culture and Climate, Classroom, Collaboration, and Community. We are determined to #CTheSuccess on a daily basis as we endeavor to provide a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment for all.

School Highlights

• Proximity to local universities and performing arts groups for unique opportunities to attend art events and interact with many groups
• Student activities: student council, safety patrol, drama, band, orchestra, basketball, Girls on the Run, schoolwide holiday musical, chess, crafts, walking, photography, sign language, crochet, and gardening
• Primary Talent Pool, Advance Program, and English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
• Serves as a partnership school with duPont Manual High School 
• Signature Partnership Initiative School with the University of Louisville (UofL) and a professional-development school that houses a Technology Enabled Active Learning (TEAL) classroom
• First-of-its-kind Virtual Reality (VR) Lab so that students can go back in time, travel to historic sites, or sit courtside at a UofL basketball game
• Receivesa 5x5 Fund for the Arts Grant
