Director
Mendy Cumberledge is the Director of Choirs at Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Choirs under her direction have consistently earned distinguished ratings at KMEA Large Ensemble Assessment. Ms. Cumberledge is a versatile performer with experience ranging from opera and oratorio to Broadway, cabaret and jazz. She has appeared with Kentucky Opera, Tulsa Opera, The Louisville Orchestra, The Lexington Philharmonic, Nevada Opera and Chattanooga Opera to name a few. Her teaching experience includes teaching at the middle school, high school and collegiate levels. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Arts in Education from Georgetown College and Competency Based Learning Certification from the University of Kentucky. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Cumberledge continues to maintain a busy schedule as a performer, adjudicator and clinician.
