Stress Management Tips

  • Try to maintain a schedule as much as possible.

    • Get dressed and brush your teeth in the morning.

    • Eat meals around the same time each day.

    • Make a schedule for schoolwork.

      • Set a time for some type of exercise.

  • Get consistent sleep.

    • Go to bed and wake up at the same time.

  • Get fresh air and exercise daily.

    • Go for a walk, find a workout video online, dance, bike, etc.

  • Eat healthy and drink water.

  • Talk to your friends by texting, calling or social media.

  • Talk to trusted people about how you’re feeling or write about your feelings.

  • Spend time doing activities that you enjoy, or try a new activity.

    • Read, play an instrument, paint, draw, do a craft, listen to music, reorganize your room, etc.

  • Find ways to relax.

    • Deep breaths, stretch, practice yoga, take a walk, meditate, listen to music.

  • Take breaks from the news and media.

  • Focus on the positive.

    • Take time each day to notice what is going well.

    • Identify reasons to be grateful.

    • Be hopeful that things will get better!
