School-Based Telehealth Services
JCPS and Norton Healthcare
Please sign up for this optional program!
This is a new school-based health service opportunity at Camp Taylor Elementary. This program allows JCPS Students and Staff to see a provider at Norton Healthcare through a secure video connection while at school in the nurse’s office. The school nurse will work with the Norton Healthcare provider to perform a virtual examination and testing as needed.
Dress Expectations
Camp Taylor is a non-uniform school, however, the following dress expectations are expected to be followed.
Camp Taylor Student Dress Expectations have been designed to:
To accomplish this, the following rules apply:
Shoes
Shoes should be closed-toe and closed-heel. Rubber-soled gym shoes are recommended. High heels, clogs, sandals, and shoes with wheels are not allowed.
Shirts
All tops other than T-shirts or long sleeves must have straps. Midriff-baring shirts are not allowed. Shirts must be free of references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or violence. Any other images or messages the administration deems offensive or disrespectful will be addressed individually. Hoodies may be worn, but hoods must be kept down during the school day, with the exception of religious or cultural headwear.
Shorts, Skirts, and Pants
Shorts and skirts must be of appropriate length (covering the buttocks) and worn at a student’s waist. The fingertip rule is always a good way to ensure shorts and pants are the appropriate length.
Staff are expected to communicate dress expectations to students. Students who are not in compliance with our dress expectations will be directed to administrators so we can reach out to parents/guardians. Clothing assistance is offered through our Family Resource Coordinator.
