Celebrating Black History Month at Doss High School!
Ms. Sarah Francis’s EL students are diving into an inspiring Black History Month project! Each student is researching a significant figure in Black history—anyone who has made a lasting impact. Their research is grounded in strong sources, including a book, a database, and a website, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of their chosen historical figure.
Stay tuned as they share their discoveries and celebrate the contributions of Black leaders, trailblazers, and change-makers throughout history! #DossHigh #BlackHistoryMonth #StudentVoices

Teachers and students are bringing history to life! ✨ Our Black History Month Door Decoration Contest is in full swing, with teachers creatively showcasing influential Black leaders, culture, and achievements. Students are actively engaged in the process, learning and celebrating together. Which door will take the top prize? Stay tuned! #BlackHistoryMonth #StudentEngagement #CreativityInAction

✅ SUPERINTENDENT SURVEY | The Jefferson County Board of Education wants to hear from the public as they search for the next superintendent of JCPS. With Dr. Marty Pollio retiring this summer, the board has begun the process of hiring his successor. To assist in this effort, board members are inviting the public to complete a survey that asks about the qualities and priorities they’d like to see from the next leader of JCPS.
Whether you’re a parent, student, staff member, community leader, or simply someone who cares about the future of JCPS and Louisville, your input is invaluable!
Take a few moments to fill out the survey and share your thoughts: bit.ly/jcps-superintendent-search
