Hello, and welcome to the Counselor Connection! My name is Lori Lightcap, and I'm very excited to be the counselor at Dunn Elementary. I know that if we all work collaboratively, we can raise student achievement and help each child meet his or her personal, social, and emotional needs.   • Classroom Counseling: Academic, social/emotional, and career-focused lessons to promote well-being and success.

  • Small Group Counseling: Focused groups to address specific needs and concerns.

  • Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions for personalized support.

  • Conflict Resolution: Mediation and guidance to resolve interpersonal issues.

  • Community Referrals: Connections to external counseling resources.

  • Building Contact for Gifted and Talented, Primary Talent Pool, and Advance Program initiatives.

  • 504 Plan Coordination: Building contact for students with 504 plans.
