Ayen Nhial only played volleyball for three seasons but she's going to be playing at a high level next year

July 24, 2023 -Seneca High School senior Ayen Nhial has to admit sometimes father knows best.
"I never wanted to join the volleyball team," Nhial said. "My dad was the one who wanted me to join. He was like, 'Oh, it's something new. You should try it.'"
So the native of Uganda, who speaks five languages and had never played organized sports before, followed dad's advice. Now she's headed to an NCAA Division 1 school on a volleyball scholarship.
