Clothing Assistance
Clothing Assistance Program
JCPS families who need assistance with clothing are eligible to receive items twice each year through the 15th District PTA Clothing Assistance Program (CAP). Each student enrolled at JCPS is eligible to receive the following:
New pair of khaki or navy uniform pants
New polo-style uniform shirt
New belt
New socks
New underwear
These are helpful for students at schools that require uniforms. CAP also offers gently used uniforms, casual clothing appropriate for all seasons, hygiene items, shoes, accessories, and other helpful items.
CAP operates with personal shoppers who fill orders for students and families as well as in-person appointments where families may shop the assorted gently used clothing at CAP with the assistance of our regular volunteers. All of these items are provided to families for free thanks to generous donors.
All requests must be scheduled in advance through a JCPS Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC). To schedule a visit to CAP, contact your child’s school and ask for the FRYSC.
CAP is a partnership between the 15th District Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the JCPS Diversity Equity, Poverty Programs. To donate clothing and accessories or to volunteer, call Justin Willis at (502) 485-7450 or send him an email at justin.willis@jefferson.kyschools.us.
