Danielle Randle

Semple Elementary Principal

Why do you like leading in JCPS?

As the principal of Semple Elementary School, I love my district and serving the community. I have always been taught that you can talk about the problems or work to be part of the solution. By serving my school, I am trying to be part of the solution.

Why is serving as an equity-centered leader important to you?

Students coming from high trauma environments deserve the opportunity of meaningful school experiences and seeing it through the lens of others whom like they do.

What is your favorite Louisville activity?

You can always catch me cheering on the CARDS at a University of Louisville Football or basketball game!

Decode Project

We are so fortunate to be able to work alongside parents, caregivers, community, future educators and most of all the students. When working with schools it is important for community partners to be flexible and tailor their programming to meet their individual needs-unlocking their potential to bake, shape, and influence the world around them. We have learned that when working with students, student voice is key. Student voice allows and requires us (education professionals, caregivers, community partners) to imagine education a different way!
