Students are required to have these forms completed before being allowed to participate:

1. Middle School Sports Physical
2. JCPS Sports Safety Video

Barret Traditional Middle School and the Jefferson County Public Schools believe that all student athletes should be successful in the classroom. Therefore, all students who participate in school-sponsored activities must remain academically eligible according to Barret and district guidelines.

Once on probation, how often will grades be checked?

What grades are used to determine eligibility?

My student received a letter stating hat he/she is on probation. As a parent can I withdraw them from the practice or games until the grades improve?

What happens if my student gets off probation and the grades drop again?

My student received a letter stating that he/she is on probation. Does this mean they cannot practice or play?

My student has now received a letter saying that they are suspended. What does that mean?
