The mission of our FRC is to help families address and break down barriers to their children's education. The FRC assists students and families through programs, referrals, and partnering with community agencies.

Hazelwood's FRC can support students and families in many ways, including the following:

  • Health screenings

  • Clothing assistance

  • Referrals for basic needs (e.g., food, housing, clothing)

  • Employment assistance

  • Food pantry

  • Holiday assistance

  • Extracurricular program support - Chess Club, Field-to-Fork, and Bricks-4-Kids

  • Academic support and tutoring information

  • Truancy prevention and attendance interventions

  • School-based mental health services

  • Kindergarten and Middle School readiness

  • Parent involvement and volunteering opportunities

  • Individualized student and family support as needed
