All students participating in school sports must have a physical on file. Download the KHSAA form.
Dear Jaguar Family,
I just wanted to reach out to let you know what was going on in the world of athletics. We are as of now still looking for a softball coach, soccer coach, indoor track coach, and outdoor track coach. If you of know anybody that may be interested send them our way.
We welcome Coach Jakki Hobbs and his staff to Johnson Traditional Middle School. They have conducted 1st cuts for boys basketball. The teams are practicing at school starting at 2:30. Coaches will have final cuts at the conclusion of the football season.
Girls basketball are working out at Butler High School on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. They are accepting new girls now to help fill, not only a varsity team but also a JV team. Experience is not needed, just a good attitude and maximum effort.
We will start our inaugural season of Archery this year at Johnson. Coach Vincent has a vast knowledge of the sport and is excited at the potential and opportunity. We will eventually start practicing at Butler High School when the season begins.
We had a lot of interest in cheerleading. Coach has enough girls to have multiple teams cheer at both levels. Coach Bailey is working hard to represent the school in the best way possible. They will lead us in school pride and spirit.
We actually had one of our teachers reach out about step team. We will be sending out information next week. Please talk to your students about the info they will be receiving. We look forward to adding another opportunity for students to be involved.
