State and District Testing

Grade 9: Freshman will take the College Equipped Readiness Tool (CERT) test 3 times throughout the year. The CERT is a little shorter than the ACT which students will take their Junior year. CERT gives the school, students, and parents a predicted score for the ACT. The CERT platform gives students an individualized learning plan to improve their score.

Grade 10: Sophomores will take the CERT test 3 times throughout the year. In their Sophomore year the CERT is identical to the ACT which students will take their Junior year. CERT gives the school, students, and parents a predicted score for how they would currently do on the ACT. The CERT platform gives students an individualized learning plan to improve their score.  Sophomores are required to take the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) for Reading and Mathematics.

Grade 11: Juniors will take the CERT test 2 times the first semester to continue to prepare for the ACT. CERT gives the school, students, and parents a predicted score for how they would currently do on the ACT. The CERT platform gives students an individualized learning plan to improve their score. Juniors will take the ACT at school in March. They are required to take the KSA for Science, Social Studies, Editing & Mechanics, and On-Demand Writing at the end of the year.
