Policies and Handbooks

The staff at Bloom believes in providing students with an environment where they can become the best possible version of themselves. Together, we want to be a school that leads students to their highest potential and is a world leader in student growth. Maximizing instruction time and learning opportunities are both key to achieving growth. Students are held responsible for following our school-wide expectations and engaging themselves in learning.

Get Involved

We Love Our Bulldog Volunteers

We are always in need of volunteers. If you're interested in helping out in the lunchroom, classroom, or in any other way, please contact any of the Bloom teachers or the front office at 485-8211. Many volunteer opportunities require you to complete a background check, so please do that as soon as possible.

Anytime Volunteering

Plan Ahead Volunteering

Join the Parent Teacher Association (PTA)!

Joining the PTA is a great way to get involved with your child's school! The money raised by the PTA supports many of Bloom's arts programs, including our artist-in-residence program and other awesome cultural events.

Attendance Matters

Doors Open: 7 a.m.

School Starts: 7:30 a.m.

Attendance is key to a successful education for children.  Be on time, be present, and watch your child bloom! If your child is sick and will be absent, please notify the school office via email at Email Joanna Webb or by phone at 485-8211.  Please send in a note in your child's folder upon returning to school.

Please contact our attendance clerk, Email Joanna Webb for questions regarding attendance.

Healthy Snacks

At Bloom Elementary School, we believe in educating the whole child. Our wellness policy ensures that all students are provided with a healthy environment that promotes wellness to aid student learning and success. Student health impacts academic performance through increased attention span and improved classroom behavior/conduct. It is positively correlated with increased academic achievement and test scores.

Track Your Child's Progress

The Parent Portal provides you with access to important information about your child's progress, including:

  • Attendance: View your child's attendance records and whether absences were excused or unexcused. Please submit absence notes within 3 school days.

  • Assignments: See current assignments and progress toward grade-level standards.

  • Grades: Access daily grades and final grades for each nine-week grading period. Click "expand all" for detailed assignment information.

Standards-Based Grading

Bloom uses standards-based grading, which focuses on student mastery of grade-level standards.
