Community College

After a successful senior year of Pole Vaulting and Running, I decided to follow my heart and go run.  I attended a local community college to run cross-country and track.   After training on the concrete roads after my years of training on trails and fields I stress fractured my shins.  I did not want to sit out a year so I took an offer to Pole Vault at the University of Louisville.

Westport / Kammerer

Westport / Kammerer

Last year was the first Year I coached at Kammerer and Westport.  Our kids attend Kammerer and we have many wilder kids that go on to Westport.  Picking up the middle school teams has been so fun.   Truly we coach these teams as a family.  My husband and I spend endless hours discussing and stratigising on what our runners need.   Kammereres 6th grade girls won JCPS city championship last year and placed 4th in the State for 6th and under girls.   Has this affected Wilders team?  Yes!   Our Wilder 4th and under boys placed 3rd in the state last year.  I believe having a group of older kids to push and train with has only made Wilders team stronger.   Having so many experienced runners has brough the level of Wilders team to a more competive team and not just a social team.  This is positive and negitive depending on the family and your interest in the sport.
