Liberty is a specialized choice school in Jefferson County Public Schools that serves grades 7-12. Liberty specializes in students that are behind in credits and have struggled in the larger, traditional high school setting. Many of their students have struggled in the past with chronic absenteeism, academic struggles, school anxiety, lack of motivation and perseverance in school, and building healthy relationships. All the supports at Liberty are aimed at addressing these issues in order to help students find success and graduate from high school.

Liberty started the process to become a Big Picture Learning Partner in 2018. Since then, the program has expanded and has fully embraced the concept of student-centered learning that have an emphasis on real-world learning and experiences.
