When Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) buildings are closed due to bad weather or other reasons, the school district may move to Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI). NTI is remote learning allowing teachers and students to utilize laptops, Chromebooks, and other technology to continue teaching and learning at home.
When JCPS notifies families that in-person classes are canceled, it will also let families know if NTI is being employed on that day. If so, students will be expected to use their devices to connect with their teachers and continue their lessons.
Visit the NTI student toolkit, NTI family and community toolkit, or the NTI teacher toolkit for information on NTI and shortcuts to access online learning tools.
