PRP students use fuzzy bears as patients
December 15, 2023 - Every kindergartener at Greenwood Road Elementary School got a teddy bear, not just to cuddle, but to play doctor with. Students in the health pathway at Pleasure Ridge Park High School brought the bears to Greenwood Road along with stethoscopes, thermometers and blood pressure cuffs for a Teddy Bear Clinic, using the fuzzy bears as “patients” to show that routine checkups at the doctor’s office shouldn’t be scary. It was also a chance for the high schoolers to show off the skills they had learned in the classroom.
