New School Choice Plan creating opportunities

October 25,2023 - West Louisville families say they're happy with their decision to attend school closer to home as part of Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) new School Choice Plan. The first year of the new student assignment plan has allowed students like Day'Miyah and Dallas to attend schools close to their West Louisville homes instead of a building in another part of Jefferson County. Their family members say it's easier for them to be involved in their student's school life while the girls have become more active in school and feel a greater sense of belonging and school pride.
