August 29, 2023—Hawthorne Elementary School teacher Ashley Glickley chatted with her students via Google Meet last week from the Pacific Ocean!
Glickley is on the Exploration Vessel (E/V) Nautilus with scientists and other teachers exploring deep sea biodiversity and seamounts. She is one of 16 teachers chosen as 2023 Science Communication Fellows by the Ocean Exploration Trust!
Last week, she showed students the fish, plants, and other marine life the E/V Nautilus' remote vehicle named Hercules is finding in the Pacific Ocean.
