Recognition from Partnership for a Green City

May 24, 2023 - Chenoweth Elementary School is the winner of the 2023 Julie Shinton Fried Award from the Partnership for a Green City. Chenoweth was the first school in Jefferson County to have an outdoor classroom and has an idle-free car rider line, outdoor garden and other environmentally friendly programs. Teacher Steve Henry was also recognized for his leadership of Chenoweth's Environmental Club and educating students about the earth and being good stewards of the environment.
