Twin brothers Myles and Quentin have season-high marks in field events

By Dyuce Woodson

May 16, 2023—Louisville Male High School seniors Myles and Quentin Gentry are fraternal twin brothers, and the two stick close together.

“I think the longest I’ve ever been away from him was like a week,” Myles said. “And I probably called him 10 times throughout the week.”

Myles is the older twin by 46 minutes. The two brothers admit they like to one-up each other as often as possible.

“I love the competitive nature that we have,” Quentin said. “So, it’s always, like, he gives me something to kind of go chase.”

That competitive back-and-forth is leading to success in track and field. Myles is the state leader in the long jump, while Quentin is the state leader in the triple jump.

“It’s good to see the Gentry name leading all sand events right now,” Myles said. “It kind of feels like we’re running the sand right now.”

Both brothers are looking to end their high school track season strong, together.
