Before completing our application, you must complete the JCPS application. The deadline to complete JCPS and CHS application is Dec. 20, 2024.

CHS Admissions Work Sample Instructions

Choose 1 Prompt

  • In what ways are you currently a leader and how can you grow?

  • Reflect on your three strongest qualities. How can you use those to implement social change?

  • We have 11 Magnet programs at
    CHS. Which program do you want to participate in and how can it help social change?

Choose One Performance Task

Essay

  • On a Google Doc, type a response with 500-700 words. This essay should be written and completed by the applicant.

Video

  • Create a video that thoroughly responds to the prompt. It should be at least 1 to 1 minute and 30 seconds. Be sure that music and content are appropriate.

Google Site

  • Create a Google site that provides evidence for your prompt. You can add written portions, videos, or images. Be thorough.

Reminders:

  • Make sure to check your "share settings" on

    the work sample so that it is viewable.

  • Be sure to join the correct Google Classroom

    based on your last name. Only applicants should join.

  • Make sure that your First and last name is on your work sample.

  • Double-check that you have applied to

    JCPS, completed the work sample, 2 recommendations & personal profile.

Copy and share this link with a teacher, counselor, Principal or Community member.

You will need two recommendations in total. 

Personal Profile Questionnaire

After you have uploaded your work sample to Google Classroom and Recommendations, click the link to complete the personal profile questionnaire.

All links will be available on Google Classroom also.
