SUICIDE PREVENTION MONTH | September is Suicide Prevention Month—a time to increase awareness that this crisis can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, or background. In JCPS, we use this month to spread hope and share vital information with our families. Our goal is to ensure students, staff, families, and friends have access to the resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and how to seek help. Students can access mental health support at school via mental health practitioners and counselors. JCPS also partners with Care Solace to help find and coordinate mental health and substance abuse treatment for JCPS students, staff, and their families. The service is free. Visit http://caresolace.com/jcps to learn more.
