Hello, my name is Katie Boyd. This is my 19th year of teaching and my 16th yr here at Norton. I have a Bachelors in Music and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from UofL. I also have a Masters as a Literacy Specialist from the University of the Cumberlands. I have taught 5th, 4th, 3rd and currently 2nd. I have two beautiful children. My son's name is Julian and he's 24 yrs old. My daughter's name is Emily and she is 20 yrs old. I have two fur babies at home whom I adore. My Boston Terrier's name is Albert, and my Pug's name is Winnie. I enjoy Netflix, traveling, going to the beach, trying different cuisines, but Southern and Mexican are my favorites.

My name is Dianne Gibson, and I’m a native of Louisiana. I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from McNeese State University and my Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University Southeast. I have a long history with Norton, both as a teacher and a parent because my children attended Norton when they were younger. I enjoy teaching Second Grade! My husband and I have four beautiful children and two wonderful grandchildren. We also have a loveable Shorkie puppy named Invictus. During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, traveling, and working in my vegetable and flower gardens.

Hello! I am Kendal Hocker a 2nd grade teacher at Norton Elementary. I just started year 14 of teaching. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio then met my now husband in Louisville so I moved here in 2017. I enjoy spending time with my lovely family. I have been married to my husband Ryan for almost 6 years now. We have two beautiful girls. Our first daughter Hadley is an energetic 3 year old and our second daughter Hayden is a precious 1 year old. We also have one hyper dog named MJ. We love boating at Dale Hollow Lake and cruising on the Ohio River. I am an avid pickleball player and instructor. I also enjoy cheering at all my favorite sporting events with football being my favorite! I can't wait to add another fantastic school year to the books!

Hello my name is Mrs. Sheila Johnson. I am thrilled to be teaching second grade at Norton again this year. This will be my third year here; my 20th in education. I earned my Bachelors and Masters in Teaching from the University of Louisville. My Masters in Education/Rank 1 as a Literacy Specialist was earned at the University of the Cumberlands. I love working with young students and encouraging them to reach their potential. I've been married to Nate for 32 years! We have three wonderful adult children: Erica, Nathan, and Emily. We have a big dog named Jude and two cats named Tyra and Crystal. In my free time I love reading, attending UL football/basketball games and spending time with those I love. I am looking forward to a great school year!

My name is Marcy Klemenz and I teach 2nd grade. I am an avid reader and hope to teach my students to love reading as well. I have a husband, 2 daughters, and a step son. I also have 7 wonderful grandchildren that I absolutely adore. We enjoy spending a lot of time with them. My husband and I have a boat and we spend our weekends cruising up and down the Ohio River. I like to be active and I think kids should be too. You will see boot camp, as I call it, in my room daily. I love power walking at home. One of the best parts of my job is watching children learn and grow.
