Madeline Berry

William Coy, Teacher

My name is Mr. Coy and this will be my seventh year of teaching and my third year teaching at Norton Elementary School! I have really enjoyed moving to Louisville, Kentucky, but I am still a Hoosier at heart! When I am not teaching I enjoy exercising, cooking and spending time with my wife and son!

Hello! My name is Debbie Hayen. I am excited to teach 5th Grade at Norton Elementary! I am entering my 24th year of teaching and 9th year here at Norton. This is my fifth year teaching fifth grade and I absolutely love it! I have been married for 25 years and we have two children, Renee (Graduated University of Louisville Speed School) and Nicholas (Freshman at University of Louisville). We also have three dogs. Bosco and Mabel are Yorkiepoos and Libby AKA Princess is a Shih tzu.

Greta James, Teacher

I am excited to be at Norton Elementary! I have been a teacher in JCPS for over ten years and enjoy my time as an educator. I received my Bachelors degree from Northern Kentucky University and my Masters in Education from Spalding University. I love to spend time with my husband and two children. We also have two chocolate labs, Lexi and Nola. We love to be outside and can most likely find us at a pool or ball field. We love to go to the beach, play at a park, or have a fun game night. I love to watch football (Go Cards, Go IRISH!) Fall is my favorite season. Go Cougars!

Kay Staebler, Teacher

I am entering my 24th year of teaching and 19th year at Norton. I have taught 5th grade every year except my first year (it is my favorite grade). I teach math and social studies to our set of 5th graders. I love learning new things and I hope to pass that passion onto the students. I have been married for 21 years and we have two children.  We also have two fur babies who are miniature pinschers and keep us on our toes.
