I created this artwork using the polyline tools in the Google Drawings App on my chromebook. I chose to draw this Golden Retriever portrait because it reminded me of my dog when she was a puppy. I remember she was always really happy and would stick her tongue out when she was playing and I wanted to make a memory of that because I love her. I also wanted to make this artwork because several of my friends have Golden Retrievers and lots of people like Golden Retrievers. This is a mosaic which means that it is a piece of artwork that is created using small shapes to make a bigger picture. I used a golden mustard color to make the fur and then for the ears, I did a slightly darker shade of the mustard color. For the tongue, I used a tannish pink shade and for the nose and under the tongue, I used a really dark gray. I used these colors to help bring out the face to make it look like an actual Golden Retriever puppy. I hope this makes people feel happy because dogs can be happy and bring comfort to people.

To create my artwork, I used the polyline and curve tools in the Google Drawings App. I created it because I loved my dog, Ladybug, and really miss her, so I wanted to make a piece of art to honor her memory. The type of artwork I created is a mosaic. I made it by finding a picture that looked like my dog and used the curve and polyline tools to draw different shapes in the picture. I used color to help bring out Ladybug's face and features. I hope this artwork makes people feel happy because dogs can be special members of your family.
