Fire safety Process

First, We started with the topic severe weather safety but the topic was to broad so we decided to work on fire safety instead. Once we decided on our topic we had to begin researching ways to stay safe during a fire. So with help from our steam teacher we found all the information we needed on ready.gov and fema.gov. We then recorded lucy's videos first and it took a couple of tries to get it right, but we eventually got it right. But we later decided that she needed to redo it. We found out that she was not loud enough. After that we started Harpers, and changed a few things, like the ending, so it took longer because she kept saying the wrong thing and then we decided to make two videos and put them together later. When we were finished with Harpers it was looking great!. Then we moved on to Olivia's and it was pretty good we also split that one into two parts so it would be easier. Once we were done we went into the green screen app and added backgrounds we decided to make it a room and then we would all be in the same room. But then we realised that it was too long and cut off part of lucy's video but it didn't look good and we didn't have multiple camera angles so we retook Lucy's videos and we did different camera angles. We zoomed in on the stop to add more emphasis and it looked way better. But it was still too long so we cut off part of Olivia's that didn't really make any sense. After that is was 58 seconds and we then had time to ad credits and an introduction. Then we went into imovie and added music called Back to Normal. Then we wrote this process.

First we thought about what topic we should do the PSA. Since there are lots of endangered species we thought of doing one specific endangered species. So we searched up on Google " What is a critically endangered species in the world." The first animal we read is Saola. Since we never heard of this species we decided to do a PSA about it.

To start our research we went on Kiddle and searched "Saola". We first found a WWF site which talks about so we started our research. While we researched one person will take notes. After taking notes we started writing our script.

When we finished our script we found out it was too long after timing it. So we took out some lines and made them shorter. After finishing editing we timed the script again. We got 55 seconds. That will give enough time to show the credit and title slides so we moved on to our next step.

Our next step was looking for photos. We looked for photos because we wanted to do voice overs. But before we looked for the photos we divided which parts we speak in the camera and which ones we should do voice overs. After planning we chose photos for each section.

After choosing photos we started to record. We had 4 clips to record so we did the min order so it would be easy to pick out which clip is about. After recording we used Dolnk to make our video.

When we got to Doink we started to put our video together. We put our photos and clips. | We used the color wheel for each clip and photo. We cut some seconds on clips so it could be about 55 seconds. We also cropped clips and some photos so it won't show anything unessercy. Then added our final touches. For example, the backgrounds and more. After we finished that we moved our video to iMovie.

When we transitioned to iMovie we first clicked on the plus sign and clicked backgrounds. It showed me lots of background colors we could use for my title slide.

We chose an orange-ish background. When we clicked on the slide it showed me different options of how the words we typed in would transition. We chose Prism because we thought it was cool.

After that we clicked on the plus sign again and chose the videos option. When we clicked on that it showed me the video we created. We clicked the video and chose the plus sign it showed me and it added the video near the slide for me. In between the slide and the video there was a sign which shows a line. We clicked on it and chose the

"theme" option because that was the transition we wanted. After that we went to the plus option and chose the plus sign, chose the idea, and then clicked on soundtracks. we chose the track Evergreen and then clicked on the plus sign and it went to below the videos. After that we adjusted the volume of the soundtrack. Lastly, we did the voice overs for the photos we chose.
