I created this piece using the GarageBand app on my iPad. I used the string quartet instrument setting of "Romantic". First I was playing around with the strings and loved the beautiful sound they created, so I decided to make a music composition about it. I started researching how to use the strings on GarageBand and then the next day, I decided to use the 4 main string instruments (violin, viola, cello and bass) and chose different chords to create a whimsical feel. Because I wanted the piece to feel magical and less structured, I used a free form. I imagine flying with violins while listening to this piece. I hope it will be used for relaxation or meditation to help people relax. I also imagine it would be great as a movie soundtrack.

To create my song, I used the GarageBand app on my iPad. I was inspired to write this piece after seeing my hamster looking like he was dreaming while sleeping in his hamster wheel. To begin, I used the keyboard instrument on the app to create the main melody and then I also used the keyboard to create the harmonies and chords to support the melody. I adjusted the keyboard sounds and volumes to create the effects of the piece. I used the following keyboard sounds for my composition: light bulbs and dreamy bells. I imagine this piece of music being used for remembering and honoring my hamster. I hope people will listen to it for their entertainment or to help them relax before sleeping.
